LAMAR REFUSES TO DEBATE ISSUES OR OPPONENT

Last week, a variety of citizen groups (Hispanic Bar Association; Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando; Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; The Lou Frey Institute of Government; Barry University College of Law and Orange TV) sponsored a debate between Lawson Lamar and Mercedes Leon.

Lamar refused to debate Mercedes Leon and failed to appear.

It's becoming very obvious why.  Lamar's failure to prosecute violent crime; manage his own office finances; use a loophole to grab over $500,000 in state retirement funds; use another loophole to get around the election laws on contributions and his complete lack of ethics and honesty are becoming more apparent by the day.

The moderator, UCF Professor Terri Fine, allowed Mrs. Leon to proceed with an opening statement and to answer questions from two attorney's who composed the panel.

If anyone had any doubt as to Mercedes Leon's qualifications; experience or abilities to serve as our next state attorney - those doubts have been shattered by the discussion that followed.

This is the link to the presentation by Mercedes Leon.  I urge you to check it out and become more aware of her campaign to restore honesty to the state attorney's office:

If you have not yet joined the cause for an honest state attorney in our community - please do so today!  Your contribution - in any amount - can be made online at:

If you want a yard sign or a bumper sticker, just let me know and one of our many volunteers will handle your request.

Please send this email to your entire email list - a new honest state attorney is what is needed to control the spiraling crime rate; rampant corruption in local government and the failure to bring violent criminals to justice - the question is simple - are you better off today than you were four years ago or 20 years ago when Lamar first took office?  The answer is clear and the choice is ours!
